Mother Goose Schools offers a diverse community that “uses garlic liberally and sugar conservatively,” says owner Dana Hemberger. In an environment where learning is fun, children are taught to become critical observers and active agents in their own education.

Our students are separated by age and skill range, enabling each child to reach his or her potential in a comfortable environment. Our San Francisco Pre School provides specific educational programs for ages 2-6 years designed for each age/skill group referred to in levels of A, B, C, D & E.

As a founding member of PACE (Professional Association for Childhood Education), Mother Goose School views Pre School as an opportunity to positively introduce a child to the educational system while ensuring well rounded attributes are established.
At Mother Goose School we believe in educating the whole child, keeping the student physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually active. Our individualized Child Care programs places each child in the peer group most appropriate at entry level.
By labeling our groups in levels versus limiting them to their age range, your child may be promoted any month of the year based on his/her abilities. Mother Goose School prioritizes the development of a positive self-concept in each child we work with. Equipped with many experienced teachers, each child is supported in the endeavor of cognitive challenge, social appropriateness, and physical and emotional maturity.
However, it’s crucial to understand that partaking in Pre School is a mutual partnership. Parents, grandparents, nannies or other extended family need to work with the Mother Goose staff in efforts to reach the same goals. Your cooperation, encouragement, and consistency with our policies will contribute to your child's success. Working together, we will provide the optimum nurturing and learning environment.
